Our Story - The Litocracy Revolution

Jotter believes the world needs more stories, and more people to enjoy them. That everyone has a story and a voice, and publishing as we know it should not silence or censor that. Writers should be rewarded if read, and therefore reading should be limitless. The best author is yet to be published, and your favourite book is yet to be read. Literature should not be a deference to the past, it needs to live in a world of social media, where writers and readers are all connected. Where technology and artificial intelligence enhance conversations and the sharing of stories and ideas. At Jotter, we were witnessing the slow demise of literacy. With barriers erected by traditional publishing slowing many writers and stopping even more. Where the ever-growing march of meme’s and reels, and even three word political campaigns, replaced writings which entertained, inspired and educated entire generations. We realised literature and literacy needed saving. This became Jotter's purpose. To liberate literacy.
