Using data to get you a better Jotter experience
We use the data that we collect about you and the information on your usage of the Jotter platform to customise our services for you, including providing recommendations and personalising search results.
No ads
Jotter is an ad free platform. We do not sell (or give away) your personal information to anyone (unless legally required to do so!)
Insights and Reports
Your (non-identifiable) data may be combined with others and used to provide insights and reports into trends of Jotter users, such as providing authors information on the average age of their readers, number of readers by country/region. Insights and reports may be shared on both a commercial and non-commercial basis.
Voluntarily disclosed information
Information you post including manuscripts, comments, reviews will be available for others to see. Some types of content can be restricted so that only certain groups or contacts can see it – but it’s a good practice to remember that anything you post will generally be available for others to see.
Data security
We promise to do everything we reasonably can to protect the data we collect, including using appropriate security protocols and data encryption, and ensuring we comply with data security requirements of the countries we operate in.
Global platform
Jotter is a global platform, so when drafting our privacy rules and our processes, we need to consider multiple requirements from all the countries we operate in – this means we may have restrictions that are beyond what is required in your country.
Publicly available information
When you create your Jotter account, some information such as your account handle name, region, etc will be able to be seen by others.
